Confidential and Respectful
We are happy to provide international post adoption services to adoptees, birth parents and adoptive parents whose adoptions were completed by Children’s Home or LSS. In addition, our birthland tour to South Korea is available to individuals and families, regardless of placing agency.
Intermediary, Search and Reunion Services
Following Minnesota law, The Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption, and the laws of the countries in which we work, we may be able to obtain information on behalf of adopted adults and parents of adopted minors. Depending on your country of birth, we may be able to assist you to:
- Request additional information from adoption agencies, birth family members, orphanages, and foster families
- Attempt to locate and contact your birth family and/or foster family
- Exchange information, such as letters and pictures, with individuals important to your adoption story
- Replace documents held by an overseas adoption agency
- Support travel and meetings/reunions with birth and foster families
If your country of birth is not listed above, please reach out to us at [email protected] or 651-255-2371.
Document Copies, Updates, and Other Special Requests
Adopted adults, birth parents or adoptive parents are able to request that their file be checked for updates or requests for contact from other members of the adoption triad. Requests for allowable file copies, background information, and specific requests, such as information about naturalization, are possible with this service.
Contact [email protected] or call 651.255.2371 to request a service packet and learn more.
Note: You may apply to our Adoption Support Fund to cover fees associated with your service(s).
Birthland travel helps connect international adoptees with a sense of history and culture, they can be especially significant when shared with loved ones. The birthland travel experience involves the exploration of culture, traditions, foods, personal history, and the lives of everyday people in the adoptee’s country of origin. This tour is open to individuals and families, regardless of placing agency.
Currently, we are offering fully-staffed, guided tours to South Korea.Learn More About Tour Korea

You may apply to our Adoption Support Fund to cover fees associated with your service(s).
We do not want the fees for services to be a barrier to individuals looking for post adoption support. Please contact us to inquire about our Adoption Support Fund grants for individuals adopted through Children’s Home & LSS. Applicants are evaluated based on financial criteria including need, income ($100,000 gross income or less with a $10,000 deduction for each child in the home), expenses, assets, and debts. Grants typically range from $70 – $3,000. Please contact Kristina Berg for an Adoption Support Fund application.Learn More About Our Family Support Coach Program
